The White Horse in Buckover, Gloucestershire, is a tenanted Butcombe Brewery pub run by Rumit Lakhani and his father Tosh. Taken over in 2018, the pub has become increasingly popular in the local area due to new food and drinks menus, and a focus on excellent customer service.
Rumit and Tosh’s attention to detail and desire for success has seen the pub go from strength to strength under his management. He enlisted Deluxe Web’s help to create a website worthy of his vision, and we delivered a clean, elegant and sophisticated website.
Professional photography gives an air of quality and allows site visitors to get a feel for the ambience of the pub. The new food menu features an Asian inspired twist on classic pub food, and an extensive list of top shelf spirits has also been added.
Features
The site is fully mobile responsive and features a visual editor that makes adding and maintaining content super easy. By simply browsing the site, Ru can make edits to text and layout with the click of a mouse which helps keep running costs down. Deluxe Web are of course on hand to help when anything more complex is required.
The site features social media integration, enquiry form, Google map, email signup, and photo gallery, as well as the menus which can be viewed or downloaded.

Design
The design incorporates a large slider area for promotions, elegant typefaces, background images, and subtle animation, which all contribute to a feeling of quality and elegance. But it is the imagery that really sells the pub – without this, you must rely on words and menus. Quality photos and video do far more than words can to inspire a visit and will often make the difference all on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a contract or minimum term?
Nope. We believe you’ll love our product. So there are no strings and no contracts. It’s a pay as you go service. If it doesn’t work out for you for whatever reason, you can quit at any time.
How does your service work?
Sign up for the package that suits your budget and situation. We’ll arrange to visit your venue to discuss your project and take some photo/video if purchased. We then custom design your site, you provide the words and we’ll have your site ready usually within one month.
Can I pay annually?
You can choose to pay monthly or annually.
You can quit any time.
Annual payments are non-refundable should you decide you don’t want to continue with the website.
How long will it take to launch my website?
Most websites can be ready within one month and sometimes less, but this depends greatly on how long it takes for you to supply all the content for the website (text and food menus etc).
I like my current site's design. Can you copy it?
Well that depends on copyright, but we can certainly approximate the design of most websites if you’re keen on what you’ve currently got, but want to upgrade your platform.
What does a photo/video shoot entail?
Photo and video is paid for upon delivery of the finished media. You simply pay a deposit to book a shoot, which is deducted from the final cost of the media.
A professional photographer will spend time at your venue either before you open or whilst customers are present to capture details of the interior, the exterior, the food, the staff, customers enjoying food and drink etc.
We believe that it’s difficult to appeal to new customers without high quality photo and video. The resulting images and video can be used on your website’s pages, or in a gallery.
Can you photograph my food?
Sure! Please get in touch if you’re interested in this and we can discuss your requirements. We can also shoot video of food.
Can I hire you to do photo and video without the website?
Yes. If you already have a website you’re happy with and would just like to hire us for photography and videography services, that’s fine. Just get in touch.
Can't I just shoot my own photo and video?
Of course, although there’s a big difference between amateur equipment and professional, not to mention photographic experience. If you’ve got the chops and the gear, then by all means go for it! Most people don’t have the equipment, expertise or the time to get the right shots for their pub or restaurant, however, and that’s why we offer photography and video services.
My pub has rooms for booking. Can you provide tools for booking those?
Yes, although not all venues have rooms for hire, or bookings, so we make this available as an add-on. Just let us know if you need this and we’ll be happy to advise.
I don't have a logo. Can you help?
Sure! Often this involves creating a digital version of your venue’s signage. Just let us know if you need this add-on.
Can you help with search engine optimisation (SEO)?
Our sites are SEO friendly to begin with and we’ll submit your XML sitemap to Google as well as providing you with an industry standard SEO tool to enter meta titles and descriptions for your pages. We can link your site up with Google Search Console, Google Analytics and help you set up Google My Business if you need to improve your local search.
We don’t provide SEO services per sé, but we’re happy to provide pointers and advice where needed.
